ONE ECONOMY” BINDS THEM ALL

One Economy that started as a humble dream years ago as a nonprofit organization has continued to scale greater heights with each passing day. Becoming a multimillion-dollar global enterprise the organization works for bringing affordable high-speed Internet to the very households of the innumerable people who would not be able to have access to such broadband otherwise.

It has helped in this cause about 360,000 residents in 42 states across the United States if America. It has got the support of many high profit people which has perhaps made ot into the mega success that it is today putting smiles on the faces of so many people. Robert Townsend a noted Hollywood producer and actor also helped the foundation in making dramas, documentaries for its Public Internet Channel.

The group also has its connections now in the political and corporate level. Chairman Rey Ramsey is a dear friend of Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski. Genachowski was honored at a function held in Newseum. This function also marked the tenth anniversary of One Economy. The organization’s CEO, Kelley Dunne at one point of time has also been closely associated with AT&T and Verizon.

Getting a solid $28 million federal broadband stimulus grant from the Obama led government recently also greatly boosted the organizations working recently. This gesture from the head of the nation has also seen a number of other corporate giants coming over to One Economy. AT&T had donated about $30 million in the year 2006. Ever since most of the leading business giants from various sectors have been associated with One Economy.
